The East Central Hornets are charging toward the state championship! After a thrilling 9–8 victory in Game 1, they’re set to face off again in Game 2 on May 16 at 7 p.m. at Long Creek High School in New Braunfels. A Game 3 (if needed) will follow on May 17 at 1 p.m.

East Central ISD is proud to welcome Jaime Jaén as the new principal of Legacy Middle School. His leadership comes at a key moment as the campus begins its work as an Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) school through a Texas Education Agency grant.

The Texas Education Agency has released the 2023 A–F accountability ratings, based primarily on STAAR scores and other indicators. East Central ISD is taking strategic, student-centered actions to build on this data and ensure long-term academic growth.
