Legacy Middle School Welcomes New Principal Jaime Jaén
LISA STALLARD

Legacy Middle School is entering a new chapter of growth and opportunity with the appointment of Jaime Jaén as its new principal. His arrival aligns with the school’s designation as an Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) campus—a two-year grant program from the Texas Education Agency that brings strategic leadership and additional resources to improve academic outcomes.

Mr. Jaén brings more than a decade of educational leadership experience, most recently serving as principal at KIPP Texas Public Schools in San Antonio. Throughout his career as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal, he has been recognized for fostering collaborative school cultures, building strong community relationships, and driving student success. His proven track record of innovation and commitment to students makes him an ideal leader to guide Legacy during this exciting transformation.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from UTSA and a Master’s in School Leadership from Trinity University. As a proud son of a Panamanian immigrant and the eldest of seven siblings, Mr. Jaén is driven by a lifelong mission to provide access, equity, and excellence for all students. He and his wife of 21 years have raised two college-aged children and recently welcomed their first grandchild.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Jaime Jaén to the East Central ISD family as he leads Legacy Middle School into a bright future.
