Electrathon Team Races to 2nd Place at High Plains Competition!

Congratulations to our Electrathon Team for their outstanding performance at the High Plains Electrathon in Hays, Kansas! Competing against seasoned teams, our students and their car, Stinger, dominated the race and held first place until the final 15 minutes of the second heat. Ultimately, they were narrowly overtaken by a Kansas team that’s been racing since the 1990s — missing 1st Place by only 28 seconds!
Despite the close finish, Stinger still crossed the line miles ahead of the next competitors, securing an impressive 2nd place trophy and representing East Central with pride, skill, and determination.
The team will race again this weekend at Medina Valley High School. Come cheer them on — the first heat starts at 10:00 a.m. and the second at 1:00 p.m.
