East Central ISD Sets Clear Focus on Student Growth Through Strategic Goals

On March 28, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released its 2023 A–F accountability ratings for school districts across the state. While these ratings are based largely on STAAR test scores from the 2022–2023 school year and other lagging indicators such as graduation rates and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), East Central ISD has already been actively responding to this data since Fall 2023.
ECISD is committed to the success of every student—and we know ratings are just one piece of the story. Across our district, students are learning and growing in classrooms led by dedicated teachers and supported by a strong, engaged community. Our focus remains on delivering a well-rounded education that goes beyond test scores.
