CAST Lead Receives Accountability Update from the Texas Education Agency
BRANDON OLIVER

East Central ISD has received updated A–F accountability ratings from the Texas Education Agency following the state appeal process and corrected STAAR scoring. The revised results confirm substantial gains across the district.

CAST Lead High School improved from a 69 to a 79 and earned five distinction designations in reading/language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and postsecondary readiness.

CAST Lead High School is a public, career-focused choice high school in ECISD that serves grades 8–12 and prepares students for college and leadership-driven careers through real-world, industry-aligned learning.

These results build on the September announcement, which showed a 9-point district increase from 2024 and an 8-point increase from 2023. East Central ISD is among the top three districts in Texas for outstanding gains in the 2025 Accountability Ratings and earned 20 distinction designations across campuses.

Together, we are building momentum and ensuring that East Central ISD remains on the right track for continued success. More information about our district's academic momentum can be found at https://ecisd.cc/ecisd-scores-24-25
