The National Association of Music Education's annual event celebrates the benefits of high-quality music education in schools. It began as a statewide Advocacy Day and celebration in 1973 and grew over the decades into a month-long celebration of school music in 1985.
East Central ISD asked music teachers, current and former students, and others in the field to tell us why music education is important to them.
We’ll post their responses on our social media platforms and this website.
