We anticipate your arrival for “Prep Days” on July 26th – 27th for online enrollment verification and current year processing.
You will begin processing in the MAIN BUILDING.
Please enter the main doors.
ALL NEW TO THE DISTRICT students, host, guardianship, and transition students will register on the 25th.
All other students will enroll on the 26th & 27st. Please follow the schedule below and make every effort to come during your assigned time.

BE PREPARED to complete the registration process and pick up your schedule during Prep Days! New to the district students, host, guardianship and transition students will need CPS Bill, driver’s license (or military picture ID) and may only register on July 25th.
* Note: New for 2022-2023 all HOST forms MUST be approved in person at ECPD. ECPD will be open for walk-in’s July 25, 26 & 27th only. All HOST forms MUST be renewed annually, if you are needing to obtain one, please start your day at the ECPD before coming to the High School for Prep Days.
ENTRY: You will begin in the foyer of the Main Building. Every student will be required to verify the completion of their online enrollment prior to picking up their checklist and moving through the stations of registration.
DEBTS & LIBRARY FINES: Bring your receipts as proof of clearance or bring a check/cash to pay your debts. Be sure to bring any textbooks or library books that you may still have around the house. Bring books that may not belong to you as they may clear up someone else’s debt. You may NOT PROCEED to the next station until all debts are cleared!! ATM is available!!
IDENTIFICATION PHOTOS & SCHOOL PICTURES ARE MANDATORY! All students will be required to take a school picture. School pictures will be taken during “Prep Days”. (You MUST be within the dress and grooming code in order for the picture to appear in the school yearbook.) ID pictures will be included for all grade levels in the purchased packet. They will be processed and distributed during the first month of school. All students MUST carry their I.D. at ALL times. A price list for school pictures can be found at lifetoch.com. If you choose to purchase a picture package, you must pay at the time of taking the pictures (This is separate from anything paid to the school.) Make checks for pictures payable to LIFETOUCH
If you do not purchase a picture package you will have to purchase your I.D. from the Yearbook organization when they come in.
SENIOR NAME VERIFICATION: – Seniors Only! This is to verify the correct spelling of your name, as it appears on your birth certificate, for your diploma. A signature is required.
NURSE’S STATION: The nurse will verify shot records, and update any medications, or health concerns.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE FORM: Every student MUST fill out this form. Student & Parent signatures are required.
FAMILY INCOME SURVEY:
- Completion of this form may also qualify students for several other benefits. These may include waivers for:
- SAT/ACT testing fees
- College Application fees
- Discounts on AP Test fees.
Many scholarship opportunities also require a student to complete this form.
CODE OF CONDUCT: Every student MUST fill out this form. Student & Parent signatures are required. Pick up a flyer. This includes the “do’s” and “do not’s” involving the dress code.
PARKING PERMITS: This is for students eligible to drive. In order to obtain a parking permit you must provide the following:
- Driver’s license
- $10.00 fee per permit
- Proof of current insurance
- License Plate Number
- Fill out the information form
- The substance abuse form must be initialed on the Prep Day Checklist
- A parent's signature is required.
TEXTBOOK CHECKOUT RELEASE FORM:
Option A: The parent accepts liability for loss of textbook or damages to a textbook but is allowing the student to check them out.
Textbooks will be checked out to the student during the school day. Procedures will be announced to students at school.
Option B: The parent will personally come to school and check out textbooks for the student and sign the form accepting
liability for loss or damages. The parent is NOT allowing the student to check out textbooks.
The school will notify parents of a schedule for pick up.
SCHEDULES: The checklist MUST be complete before receiving the class schedule. FINAL STEP of the Prep Days process! Turn in the checklist when you receive your class schedule. **DEBTS MUST BE CLEARED BEFORE RECEIVING YOUR SCHEDULE.**
Everyone is required to go through the "Prep Days" process. Enrollment verification and current year processing is required by ALL students.

Clubs & Organizations
Different clubs and organizations will be set up for payment of dues or memberships. Booster clubs will also be set up to sell Hornet spirit items and clothing for your convenience. Yearbooks will also be sold for an early bird price of $70.
