Many of you might be aware that the District is in the process of transitioning to a new student information system (SIS), ASCENDER. While this new SIS will be more efficient than the previous one, the providers are still having issues with the conversion. Unfortunately, due to these issues, the parent portal for accessing student grades and attendance is not currently operational. We sincerely apologize for the delays in the transition and thank you for your continued patience.
Another issue we've encountered due to the conversion troubles is that students' individual progress reports are unable to be processed and therefore will not go out tomorrow as scheduled. We are projecting they will go out next week when we expect our ASCENDER SIS issues to be resolved.
Campuses will communicate with their families as to when and how progress reports will be distributed next week.
Currently, the best method to check grades is to email your child's teacher. You can use the District Staff Directory at www.ecisd.net to locate the email for your child's teacher, or contact your campus directly.
