Alexandria Licea

Alexandria Licea is the daughter of Christina Mercer. During her high school career Alex has been enrolled in Honors Colloquium all four years and has taken 13 AP courses, receiving an AP Scholar award in 2019 for her scores.

Among various awards, Alex has been honored with the East Central ISD Superintendent Student of the Month Award (February 2020) and three Academic Achievement Awards (2018, 2019, and 2020).

During her years at East Central, Alex has been highly involved in many extracurricular organizations. Alex has been a part of the Varsity Powerlifting team for three years and placed 12th overall at the 2021 Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Regional Meet. Alex has also served as the Junior Class Vice President (2019-2020) and the Senior Class Vice President (2020-2021). In addition to this, Alex is the President of East Central PALS, the Co-Founder/ Vice President of Young Ambassadors for Christ, the Treasurer for Beta Club, the Layout Editor in Yearbook, a member of National Honor Society, and a member of Student Council. 

Alex will be attending the University of Texas at Austin this fall to double major in Plan II and Psychology (BS). Thus far she is a recipient of the Valero Alamo Bowl Scholarship and the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Scholarship.

She would like to thank God for the opportunities He has provided, and she would like to thank her family, teachers, and coaches for the constant love and support they have given her over the years. It is because of these individuals, who have selflessly poured time, wisdom, and love into Alex, that she has become a strong minded and independent young lady who is prepared for all future challenges and endeavors she may face in her next chapter of life.
