Elijah Montes

In his four years at East Central High School, Elijah Montes has been enrolled in a total of 13 AP courses. In addition to this, Elijah has been on the audio and video productions team since the start of his junior year, working with a team to produce a schoolwide broadcast, as well as writing, directing, and editing independent projects of his own. Elijah was awarded as a contributor for the best photography award in the 2020 Bexar Fest. At the end of his sophomore year, Elijah was awarded the Academic Achievement Award for Pre-AP Chemistry.

Outside of Academics, Elijah has been involved in National Beta Club since the Fall of 2018, National Honor Society since the Fall of 2020, UIL Science since the Spring of 2020, and since the Fall of 2020 has volunteered with the Smithsonian Transcription Center digitally. 

Going forward, Elijah intends on pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering in a four-year program at a postsecondary institution in Texas. Elijah would like to thank his family, friends, and teachers for the continuous support and motivation they’ve given him.
