Dominique Battles

Dominique A. Battles is the daughter of Desiree and George Greene, and Andre and Kristen Battles. Because of her life as a military child, Dominique has lived all across the United States and even lived overseas in Germany for a couple of years before returning back to the United States. Prior to attending East Central High School, she attended Wagner High School for one year, before finishing the rest of her high school career in the East Central School district. Upon attending East Central, Dominique immersed herself in various academic challenging courses including multiple AP classes and the Colloquium program. In addition to participating in Colloquium, she has been an avid member of the JROTC program for the last three years. Within the JROTC program Dominique has served as the Battalion Operations and Training Officer her Junior Year and the Battalion Executive Officer her senior year. Furthermore, she led the JROTC program’s Unarmed Drill Team to qualify for Nationals for the first time in the forty-nine year history of the program at East Central High School. After high school she will be attending the University of Texas at Austin to major in Government and subsequently attend law school. Dominique would especially like to thank her JROTC instructors for being a constant source of support, motivation, and direction throughout her years in the JROTC program, and her parents who always encouraged her to be the best version of herself that she could be in both her academic and extracurricular pursuits.
