Emily Hofmann

Emily Hofmann is the daughter of Luke and Karen Hofmann, and sister to Madison, Jamin and Shelby. Due to her transient life as a military child, Emily attended Captain John L. Chapin High School in El Paso, Texas for her freshman and sophomore years prior to moving to East Central for the remainder of her high school career. In addition to the 17 AP courses and numerous clubs (NHS, Student 2 Student, FCA) she participated in, Emily was also involved in basketball, cross country, and track and field. She was a regional qualifier for pole vault, team captain for basketball, and earned multiple Academic All-District awards. Emily strives to live each day for God’s glory through serving others, and enjoyed volunteering at a military family retreat center over the summer. Emily has developed a passion for the biological sciences fostered by her involvement in the TSA (Technology Student Association) chapter at Chapin where she and her team members placed fourth in the nation for their biotechnology design proposal. Emily plans to major in chemistry at the United States Air Force Academy and subsequently attend medical school. Emily would like to thank God for providing her with the family, teachers, coaches, and peers who have taught her to love others, persevere through challenges, and lead by example.
