Sarah Garza is the daughter of Edward and Lupita Garza. During her four years at East Central, she was heavily involved in many extracurriculars along with a constant stream of rigorous studies. Sarah served in many capacities throughout the school by being a drum major for two years for the East Central Golden Hornet Band, an officer in the varsity choir, secretary for the Peer Assistance Leadership Service (PALS) organization, a junior class officer, and a member of both National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society. Additionally, she was also a four year member of the Colloquium Honors Program and received many qualifying scores on AP exams to receive the award of AP Scholar with Distinction. Sarah would like to extend her utmost thanks to not only her parents, who have supported her in every endeavor, but also her teachers throughout her 12 years that have provided her encouragement in every task she undertakes. Following graduation, Sarah will be attending the University of Texas at Austin where she plans to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering in order to further her education.
