Student Transfer Information
2025-2026 Student Transfer Application Update
The Student Transfer Application for the 2025-2026 school year is now open through April 30, 2025.
Many East Central ISD campuses have reached capacity, limiting the availability of student transfers.
Student Transfer Exceptions
Transfer applications are currently only available for students who meet the following exceptions:
- The student's parent is an active-duty military member or a Texas Peace Officer (documentation required).
- The family is in the process of purchasing or building a home within the East Central ISD attendance zone and expects to move in during the school year. A signed contract, including the new address, closing date, and signatures from both the builder/seller and purchaser, must be submitted and verified. Owning land or property without a permanent residence does not qualify.
- The student's parent is a current, full-time East Central ISD employee (TRS-eligible).
- Verified and confirmed cases of bullying or sexual assault. These incidents must be investigated by the campus.

Review Process
The student transfer team will evaluate attendance, discipline history, and academic performance for all applicants. Transfer decisions consider various factors, including:
- Space availability
- Instructional program resources and staffing
- District policies
- Class sizes
East Central ISD reserves the right to adjust transfer procedures based on district needs.
Campus Availability
East Central ISD anticipates that the following campuses may accept new student transfers for the 2025-2026 school year. Availability is subject to change based on enrollment.
- All Elementaries will have limited approvals
- Heritage will have limited approvals
- East Central High School
