Project AWARE Expands Mental Health Services
Communities in Schools of San Antonio, in collaboration with East Central ISD, was awarded a Project AWARE federal grant. Project AWARE provides funding for clinical mental health professionals for all ECISD students. Additional services funded through Project AWARE include providing mental health awareness, training, education, and whole school wellness for all ECISD students, families, and staff.
Community Support Is Key to Suicide Prevention
We can make a difference. By listening, sharing resources, and offering support, we can help those struggling with suicidal thoughts. Remember, talking about suicide openly can save lives.

Resources for Parents
To understand mental health in your child, a brief overview of key words is essential. Mental health refers to positive social, emotional, and physiological well-being. Behavioral health is often used interchangeably with mental health. Wellness is a comprehensive approach to health, including physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being.
