What is Communities In Schools?
There is a Communities In Schools - San Antonio (CIS-SA) site coordinator at every East Central ISD campus. Site Coordinators collaborate with school staff to assess, identify and prioritize student needs. Some areas of their support include:
- Promoting academic success and attendance
- Fighting food insecurity
- Encouraging mental and physical fitness
- Supporting family and social service needs
