I have lived in Canada for most of my life, but moved to Texas in 2001 when I married. I was an avid reader and a scientist by profession when I lived in Canada. I have degrees in Chemistry and Biology as well as a Masters in Education as a Reading Specialist.

My husband is a band director, and we moved here to San Antonio in 2009. I have three babies all with wet noses and tails. one dog and two cats. My home and family remind me of what is important in life. 

My husband and I love the cultural diversity here in San Antonio, as well as the open and friendly nature of the people from this area. I particularly love East Central ISD and Salado. I have taught two years in another district and ten wonderful years at Salado as a 4th and 5th grade teacher. Presently, I am self contained with a fabulous 5th grade class in the leadership academy. I treasure the students that pass through my classes and I value being of service to the Salado Community. My students are truly a gift I treasure long after they move on.
