Welcome to Oak Crest Elementary and my home page.  My name is Roger Lawson and this is my eigth year of teaching math, science and social studies here.  I previously taught middle school math and social studies for nine years in San Antonio.  I am an Air Force veteran, having retired after 21 years of service.  I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from Franklin Pierce College and a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  I am married with five children and five grandchildren.  We live within the district and my children attended Oak Crest, Heritage Middle School and ECHS.  I am proud to be a member of the EC family! 

Expectations are very high at Oak Crest and in my classroom.  We expect every child to come to class each day, prepared and ready to make a positive contribution to their education.  East Central uses standrards based grading and we actively promote all students being safe, respectful and responsible every day.

Communication is very important when it comes to the establishing great relations among teachers, students and parents.
