Ms. Guajardo

Welcome to Dyslexia Therapy!

My name is Christine Guajardo and I am the dyslexia specialist at Heritage.  This is my 3rd year as a dyslexia specialist and my 11th year in education.  I am certified in special education, generalist, English as a second language, and a dyslexia certification through the Rawson Saunders Institiute.  Prior to coming to East Central, I taught life skills, Pre-K LRE, special education resource, special education co-teach, and I was a special education lead teacher.

The program we will be utilizing is Basic Language Skills and Developing Metacognative Skills. While in dyslexia therapy students will work on strengthening our weakest areas in the reading process through a multisensory environment.

I have two amazing, advetourous little boys and a wonderful dog.  My son attends school here in the district, and I am honored to be apart of such a great community.  I look forward to working with each and everyone of my students.  This year will look a little different than most, but we will get through this journey together.  I wish each and everyone of you a great school year!
