Howdy families and students!

My name is Amanda Thomas, and I am on the wonderful 3rd grade team!

I’m originally from Katy, TX and graduated in 2017 from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science with a teaching certificate. Upon graduation, I moved to Boling, TX, it’s a super small town south of Houston. There, I taught agricultural education at the high school level for two years. But I soon realized that I wanted to help create a positive influence on students at a younger age. So, I decided to get a certification as an EC (early childhood) - 6th grade teacher. I then moved to San Antonio in 2019, and started teaching at Sinclair in January of 2020. I came in mid-semester, then covid happened, and we were all ready for the next year to begin. August of 2020 I, again, was teaching at Sinclair, in 5th grade, but this time I only taught math, science and social studies. 

I am now in my 6th year of teaching and will be teaching our wonderful 3rd graders! I’m so excited about this new year!

My goal is to make sure your students feel safe, welcome, and encouraged to strive for both their personal and academic goals.
