Ms. Laura Reyes

Hello Parents, staff and community members.  My name is Laura Reyes and I am proud resident and teacher in the East Central School District.  This is my 17th year in education and my third year with Oak Crest Elementary.  I will be teaching the awesome kiddos in 2nd Grade. I have two grown children of my own, Paige and Parker Reyes, that have made me extremely proud of the adults they have become.  I have three grandchildren, Ruben George (4) Rosalina (2 1/2 years old) and Ryan (10 months).  I come from a family of educators and I hope I am passing the "Gift of Teaching" on to the next generation. In my free time, I enjoy all outdoor activities as long as it is near water.  I love to fish and hang out at the beach. If I am your child's teacher, please know I will do all I can to make sure they are receiving the best education possible at all times.  You can count on me to do just about what ever it takes to help nurture, support and educate your child. It will take commitments from all of us: student, family and teacher to have a productive school year.   We strive to produce students that are respectful, responsible and safe not only at school but at all times. My conference time is from XXXXXX daily and I am available most days afterschool unless I have a scheduled meeting. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns.  I encourage all parents to take an active role in their kiddos education so my door is open and know I am here to assist. Please check Class Dojo for messages from the campus as well as from our 2nd grade class. I will aslo communicate with parents via email and text message.  I thank you in advance for all the support you have given us here at Oak Crest. Let's make this a great school year and try to do our best each and every day.
