Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Richard L. Perez, M.Ed.

Welcome to our class of ELITE 5th grade STAARS!

As a former student of Salado, I'm glad to be back for my 4th year of teaching the kids within my community. This is my 6th year teaching fifth grade, and 8th overall in elementary education. I have earned a Masters of Education in Advanced Literacy, so that I may work with adults at the university level as well as children within the classroom. As a member of our ELITE team of learners within the Leadership Academy, your child will set goals that reflect upon high expectations and positive classroom interactions. This year should be a great learning experience as we prepare our students for the future of education and life by helping them transition into middle school, and the outlook of becoming a positive member of society.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns on the classroom Dojo app, by email at, or by contacting the school (210)648-3310. My conference period is 7:42-8:32 daily. You may also follow me on Twitter @Perez5Leads
