I'm Mrs. Beltran, and I've been teaching for almost 15 years, 10 years here at ECHS.  You have  joined the best learning community in San Antonio, and I know your years at the high school will be amazing.

A Few Things About Me

• I love to read al all types of books, including the classics, mystery, and historical fiction.
• I love teaching freshmen, watching my students mature into the young adults they will become.
• I believe that all students can learn, if they will apply themselves and seek help when needed. If you struggle with something, please come see me; I can help.

About Our Class

• You will be reading independently, in small groups, and as a class. You will be expected to minimize your distractions by putting away your phone  and avoiding unnecessary talking while others are reading.
• You will write daily, and will be expected to revise your work, usually several times.
• While you're in school, the classroom is your workplace, and you will behave like someone who is on the job.
