EC Cares
EC Cares is an East Central ISD initiative focused on addressing social issues that impact students' education, health, and wellness. Supported by the entire District, including the Board of Trustees, EC Cares collaborates with community partners to meet the unique needs of students and their families. By listening to students' needs and removing barriers, we strive to ignite hope and ensure every student achieves academic excellence. Watch the video below to learn more.
Handle with Care
Handle With Care is very simple: law enforcement officers at the scene of a crime or accident identify children who have been exposed to trauma and notify the child's school. The premise of Handle With Care is to mitigate the negative effects of trauma on children. Watch the video and view the flyer for more information.

Our mission is to provide high-quality support and direct services for students, families and school staff to create climates for student success.
Student Services works collaboratively with students, families, schools, and community partners to support behavioral and academic success for every child by providing training, resources and technical assistance in order to carry out local, state and federal mandates related to the wellness and safety of children.
We are dedicated to addressing the social and trauma-related needs of our students through specialized programs like EC Cares and Handle with Care. Through these programs, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and responsive school community.
