Our brand is one of our community’s most valuable assets. It defines who we are, what we do, and how we are different from other districts and communities.
The Brand Tool Kit provides users with the guidelines and templates required to present a unified brand image and message the degree to which maximizes the impact of our District. By presenting a consistent image and message in our marketing and communications materials, we can communicate our collective vision and capture the spirit that permeates our community.
We hope you find the resources on this site to be helpful. If you have any questions on our branding guidelines, please contact Marketing & Communications at marcom@ecisd.net. Thank you for your efforts in uniting and galvanizing the image of East Central ISD.
Consistency establishes trust. It is vital that East Central ISD logos be used in a consistent manner by all schools, departments, offices and programs across the District. Our logos must not be altered in any way without the written approval from Marketing and Communications.
Logo downloads are available to faculty, staff and students for use in marketing and informational material.
All incentive or promotional items using ECISD marks must be produced by a licensed and approved vendor through our business office.
Please DO NOT stretch the logo during use. The proper way to resize the logo is by holding down the SHIFT key on your keyboard while resizing the image in certain programs. In Canva, you do not need to hold down the SHIFT key while resizing.
Note: Choose the proper file for the project.
Print Media= brochures, postcards, posters, whitepapers and displays (JPG or PDF file types)
Electronic Media= websites, PowerPoint presentations and videos (use JPG or PNG files)
If the vendor is requesting art in vector format, please use Adobe Illustrator or EPS files.
JPG files require a background (you will have a white box around the logo). If you need a transparent background, choose PNG.
Another way to ensure that our District's messaging is aligned is through the use of brand colors. You probably associate certain commercial entities, universities, professional sports teams and more with just their colors. It is a unique identifier to an entity.

Tips
Always use brand fonts when possible. Technology Operations will need to install the fonts for you. If you are able to install the fonts yourself, here are some instructions to install, remove and manage fonts on PCs and Mac.
For online material, you may use Georgia, Arial and Impact, or Google/web font equivalents to the typefaces in our fonts family.
Script fonts are intended for invitations and formal pieces. Any specialty, stylized font should be used sparingly.
Bebas Neue
Bebas Neue is an open-source font family with a condensed sans-serif typeface typically used in titles and subtitles, or in short attention-grabbing text on a graphic.

Cinzel
Like Bebas Neue, Cinzel is for titles and subtitles and to give an elegant, refined look. Cinzel is a typeface inspired by first-century Roman inscriptions and based on classical proportions. However, it's not simple revivalism, while it conveys all the ancient history of the Latin alphabet it also merges a contemporary feel onto it.

Lato
Lato is best suited for setting body copy. Lato is a typeface that is very clean and elegant, not too distracting, with a touch of warmth, and reminiscent of summer (which it is named after – ‘lato’ is the Polish word for summer). Lato is a sans-serif font created to look neutral in body copy but has some unique traits at larger sizes. The font's designer describes Lato as “serious but friendly.”

The District Logo/Seal should have a formal application at all times. Publications, campaigns, official documents (letterhead), and correspondence should have this mark. It can be used for apparel.
The District and East Central High School Mascot, The Hornet, can be used on informal items and apparel. It is meant for a more casual, fun use.
The Mascot must not be altered or customized in any way. Office of Marketing and Communications is the only department authorized to make customized Hornets for District and School sanctioned offices and departments. Please contact Marketing & Communications to request an appointment to create a customized Hornet.
The use of school logos can be both formal and informal. It would be appropriate to receive approval from campus administration prior to production or reproduction.
