  • Add color to every plate.
Aim for a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables to get important vitamins and minerals.

Health Services

Our mission is to support a healthy school community by promoting wellness, safety, and academic success for all students.

Every elementary school in East Central ISD is staffed by a registered nurse, while each middle and high school has both a registered nurse and a health assistant. Our nurses provide first aid, administer medication, and perform medical procedures as prescribed by a physician. While they do not diagnose illnesses, they assess signs and symptoms, notify parents or guardians when needed, and ensure appropriate care is provided.

Health assistants support nurses with daily clinic operations and assist with both student care and clerical responsibilities. Together, our health teams help create a safe and nurturing environment where students can thrive.
