Federal Programs

East Central ISD participates in the following Every Student Succeed Acts (ESSA) funding resources:

East Central also applied and provides services through these federal programs: CARES Act (ESSER), Carl Perkins, IDEA-B, and IDEA-B Preschool. East Central designates and serves nine campuses as school-wide programs. The campuses are: Harmony Elementary, Heritage Middle School, Highland Forest Elementary, Legacy Middle School, Oak Crest Elementary, Pecan Valley Elementary, Salado Elementary, Sinclair Elementary, and Tradition Elementary.

Any Private Non-Profit (PNP) school that serves an East Central ISD residing youth may contact the District's Federal Programs Coordinator to discuss what applicable, equitable services may exist and be arranged for the student, family, and/or school. Each ESSA, as well as all other Federal Funding resources, differs regarding intentions, requirements, and funding parameters of PNP services; therefore, PNPs and public school districts are required to engage in timely and meaningful consultations.

To schedule an appointment for a PNP Consultation, contact East Central's Federal Programs Coordinator, Angelina Gonzales, at 210-634-6139 or by email: angelina.gonzales@ecisd.net.

Timeline for ESSA PNP Consultations for 2023-2024 Services will be scheduled April 1, 2023 - June 15, 2023.
