Proactive Water Testing at ECISD

As part of our commitment to safety, East Central ISD is voluntarily participating in a statewide program to test for lead in drinking water.

Offered by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, this free program helps schools take a closer look at their water systems and make improvements if needed. Testing will take place over the next 45 days and includes collecting samples from drinking and food prep fixtures across campuses.

There is no current concern—this is a proactive step. Once testing is complete, results will be available at texasleadtesting.org, and we’ll share them with the community.
