    (This is a list of what we have covered by a weekly basis.)


    Design 101:

    We designed Set, Make-up, Costumes and Marketing for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We followed the guidelines based off of the UIL Theatrical Design Contest. 

    Carpentry 101:

    We covered how to safely work a Circular Saw, a Jig Saw, how to mark and measure a piece of wood. We learned the differences between a Broadway and Hollywood flat, and How to build a Broadway Flat.

    Lighting 101:

    We covered how to hang, focus and circuit a light. We also learned how to build a Light Plot, Record Lighting Cues, and created a Light Show for a song. 

    Suspence Project: 

    After watching both Dial M for Murder and Wait Until Dark, you will create your own Afred Hitchock inspired Suspenseful Film. 



    Audition Songs, we prepared an audition song and practiced the art of SLATING. 

    Gender Bending Song, we prepared a song that is usually sung by someone of the opposite gender. 

    Deconstruction Project, we were to deconstruct a song that was assigned to us and really analyze the singers' technique and quality of their choices to create a memorable and believable performance. 

    Rodger and Hammerstein Song, we researched the history and importance of R&H. We performed a song from the R&H songbook. 

    Modern Musical, we created a short narative using popular songs from the 1940s - current.
