ENHANCE MATH SKILLS
East Central ISD is excited to offer instructional support in mathematics this summer. The intent of this support is to build knowledge and skills in students so that they master 2022-2023 mathematics content and are ready for their mathematics course for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. East Central ISD is partnering with Carnegie Learning to provide your child with a unique summer learning experience; at no cost to families. Your child’s summer program will include in-person instruction from a highly-certified teacher as well as virtual small-group learning experiences with virtual teachers from Carnegie Learning who are master teachers in mathematics. Together, the in-person teacher and Carnegie virtual instructor will identify and close skill gaps, accelerate learning, and build academic confidence!
During the program, students, working in groups of up to six, will participate in a three-station rotation schedule:
-
In-person instruction by a classroom teacher
-
Independent work on a computer-based math program
-
Live acceleration instruction with a virtual instructor
With the support of a Carnegie Learning virtual instructor, students will receive additional instruction in their current course content standards to help them succeed in math and feel more confident about their work.
Students have the opportunity to choose between a morning or an afternoon session. The morning session will take place from 8:00 AM - 11:15 AM. The afternoon session will take place from 12:30 PM - 3:45 PM.
