FCCLA has been invited to speak in Washington DC about our BlackOut drunk driving day program at a National FCCLA meeting. Annual BlackOut Drunk Driving Day will be held on the third Thursday of February to continue the effort to reduce drunk driving in our community. Our very own BlackOut Day received statewide attention last year and this year is receiving National Attention. It is the goal of Ms. Lamarre and her students to receive legislation designating the third Thursday of every February as a day dedicated to the education and prevention of alcohol related crashes.
November's Superintendent's Message
Veterans Day Celebration
(VFW Post 837 members with Commander Leo Silva)
Students, staff and community members joined together at schools across the district to celebrate Veterans Day. Schools were decorated with patriotic colors and bulletin boards that displayed pictures, honors, letters and memorabilia of family members who have served or are currently serving in the military. Pride was evident on the faces of all who sang and waved flags in honor of the men and women who have and are still fighting for our freedom. Veterans from all over came to celebrate and be recognized for their service to our country. We would like to thank all of those who attended and shared their experiences and memories at these celebrations.
