Brooks Heritage Foundation Grant Brings Challenger Program to Pecan Valley

SchoolCenter Picture

Pecan Valley Elementary was awarded a grant from the Brooks Heritage Foundation. With this grant, the students were able to have the Challenger Program come out to their school and hold classes on "space." Together with the astronauts, they built and launched rockets which called for critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This was an excellent experience for all of the students..

The East Central School Board is an extraordinary group of people who volunteer their time to tackle the enormous job of governing our school district. Their commitment to our administrators, school staff, students and community is amazing. We encourage you to let each of the members know just how much they are appreciated. Please take time to attend a school board meeting to see them in action. The next meeting will take place January 21, at 6:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
