Fed Stud Aid
  • The Federal Student Aid website is a wonderful resource full of information on every type of financial assistance available to students. http://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/

Student financial aid is intended to assist students with their post secondary education financial needs. Financial aid consists of:
    • Grants
    • Loans
    • Work study
    • Scholarships
    • Internships
Depending on the type of financial assistance a student would like, the student has many options in attaining financial assistance. If a student chooses to apply for Federal financial aid, they must first set up a Federal Student Aid Identification Number or FSA ID. http://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid
FSA ID part
  • Once both the student and the parent or guardian who will sign the FAFSA for the student have both created an FSA ID, then they can both begin the FAFSA portion. It starts with the student information, then it goes to the parents or guardians information, and it concludes with the financial information where tax information is required. http://fafsa.ed.gov
